The 'Ordinary' singer-songwriter and content creator, who co-founded TikTok group The Hype House, was in the city on Friday for his Cheaper Than Therapy Tour.

A six-year-old superfan has said singing with US star Alex Warren backstage before his gig at Glasgow's O2 Academy was the "best day of his life".

A massive fan of the star, East Kilbride boy Noah Hughes was desperate to go to the concert but, being too young for the venue's strict 14+ age restriction, mum Emma was unable to buy tickets.

But the South Park Primary pupil was in for a big surprise as supermum Emma managed to get him on the list for a meet and greet with Alex before the show.

Noah was completely starstruck when he was then whisked away backstage and treated to a special solo performance with his music icon.

The pair sang along to hit song and Noah's favourite track 'Ordinary' with the generous star hi-fiving his beaming number one fan and telling him he "sounded great".

His wife Kouvr was reduced to tears and joked that her "ovaries hurt" after witnessing the sweet moment.

Emma told Lanarkshire Live: "Noah is a massive Alex Warren fan so when he announced he was coming to Glasgow, I looked at getting him tickets.

"But because of the age restriction I couldn't so I started messaging Alex's social media, his team and his wife Kouvr on Instagram, explaining how much of a fan my son was and if it was possible to arrange to meet him outside the venue.

"On the Wednesday before his show I got a message off his wife explaining how strict the venue was but that she would love to put Noah on the meet and greet list to meet him, but he would need to leave immediately afterwards.

"So I surprised Noah with this and off we went to the O2 on Friday. Everyone was so kind and when it came to Noah's turn to meet Alex he was giving merchandise which he signed. He was so kind and patient with him and Noah had made him a picture and gave him an Elmo balloon."

She added: "Alex then said his wife would love to meet him, so a member off his team took us backstage for Noah to meet and thank his wife for arranging this. As we were being shown out after all this, a member of Alex's team approached me at the door and said Alex would love to sing for Noah backstage and if we wouldn't mind waiting until the end of the meet and greet to be taken back.

"As you can see from the video this has made my little boy's whole year. The videos have since went viral and everyone has been so kind commenting about Noah. I'm very happy my persistence paid off as his smile throughout the video made my mummy heart so happy.

"Noah said that it was the best day of his whole life and Alex Warren is his new best friend - he's fully convinced he can just go to his house one weekend for a visit!"
