Black Bolt, the enigmatic, commanding head of the Inhuman royal family and King of Attilan, possesses a voice so powerful that the slightest whisper can destroy a city. After a military coup splinters the family, the group -- which includes Black Bolt's wife, Medusa; his brother and rival, Maximus; his cousins Karnak, Gorgon and Triton; and Medusa's sister, Crystal -- barely manages to escape to Hawaii, where surprising interactions with the lush world and humanity around them may prove to not only save them, but Earth itself.

The plot is the kind that is hard to make a success of. On one side, an oppressive royal family. On the other, a tyrannical liberator. Both are bad, so neither generates sympathy in the viewer. Without anyone to root for, the story becomes boring to watch. The only good characters are the humans of Earth, which makes it confusing why the Inhumans fear them so much. Rated 1.5/5 Stars • Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 07/09/24 Full Review matthias s As a big fan of the comics and a die-hard Marvel enthusiast, watching "Inhumans" was like being served a cheap knockoff instead of the feast I expected. The CGI effects were laughably bad, and everything looked so cheap that I couldn't shake the feeling I was watching a fan film. The characters and plot were severely underdeveloped, and everyone looked like they were wearing discount cosplay outfits. This bizarre starting point for a series felt completely out of touch with the rich lore of the comics. The performances were cringeworthy, making it almost impossible to take any scene seriously. It infuriates me knowing that with a better budget and a slight rewrite, this could have been an excellent film. Instead, we're left with something so painfully bad it's almost comical. As a Marvel fan, I expected more, and this mess just doesn’t do the Inhumans justice. 1.5 stars.
